I'm trying to figure out all the hair products that I will need for a successful straightening on my hair type, so I've been doing a lot of research on the net, asking questions on bhm, buying accordingly, etc...

I don't understand how she gets these results by watching the video (other than the extreme heat which I would never do). It starts with the hairdresser seemingly washing the hair and yet it's not in sections but she has zero problems detangling afterwards (I have a similar texture - although longer hair, and I definitely can't do that). Could it be that creamy substance that she's using and what would it be?

What step in this process would you keep and what would you eliminate? The heat seems extreme and the blowdryer nozzle seems to be kept too close to the hair. I have a similar texturte and I couldn't even get the brush through...

I'd recommend using this method instead, she gives great info on the products being used also. Plus, her technique looks less stressful on the hair. Good luck!

^^^^^^^

That's a really good video, Allure! I like how extremely precise she is in her instructions (rollersetting, blow drying and pin curling) and the products she uses. I'm definitely bookmarking this. It's probably gonna require some adaptation on my natural hair though, because I don't think that I'll be able to roll the round brush through like she does on her clients' relaxed hair. But great technique and specifics. Thanks!

No problem, she has another tutorial that's helpful for natural hair too.

How long are you supposed to keep the doobies in before you take them out?
