Two Strand Twist Starter Locs

So im doing a little youtube searching on starting locs with two strand twist. However Im a tad confused. Im really good at doing neat two strands and Im thinking of starting my loc journey with them. My question is...Do I keep the two strands twisted until the two strands loc...or do I two strand twist and untwist the strands so that they loc into two different locs. I watched a bunch a vids and im a little confused by that. And also do I re-two strand twist the two strands (if thats how you do it) over and over until they loc? Thanks ladies

That's how I started mine. I left the twist in, because I didn't want small locs all around my head. I latch when the time comes to tighten them......they are budding right now, they'll be 6 months old next month.....I use a water/lime spritz to make the twist pattern fade.......
