Hey Ladies! So I am currently in a 6-month "hide your hair challenge" (protective styling) & right now I am wearing my hair in Kinky Twists! But soon they will be coming out! I will then give my hair a little break & try some mini twists! But now I am actually considering doing Senegalese Twists for my next round of twists! I haven't done these before but I am guessing that its similar to doing Kinky Twists! Anyways I am writing this post asking anyone to give me any tips or advice to prepare me for when I do my Senegalese Twists! Thank You in advance!!! Big smile

it is similar to doing kinky twists just remeber to roll the hair really tight ( hope that makes sense). are u natural? if you are be carefull cause your hair tends to expand after about a month. i just had them  but i took em out after a month.. i was so scared to wash them because i wasn't sure how they would look after either. on the oter hand they are a pretty style though.

There are vids on YT. that's how I learned. At least they now look good enough to wear out. Some even thought I'd paid someone. It's a similar method to kinky twists. But senegalese twists use a silkier hair than the kinky twists. you have to make sure to twist tightly and double twist. This means you twist each strand before you twist them both together. This gets the twist to stay and not loosen up over time. Take your time parting. Use big mirrors if you are doing your own twists. Hope that helps.

Yep! I certainly am natural! Big smile I do my own kinky twists all the time but I now wanna to try something new! And I definitely know how our hair expands when its suppose to stay put! That happens when my hair is in kinky twists! After 1-2 washes my hair start looking crappy especially since my hair grows like CRAZY while its in a protective style!

Ladies.......thank you sooooo much for giving me such wonderful advice! I watched a few videos on Senegalese Twists & I decided on not doing them? I think I like the kinky/ curly type of hair way more! Soooo now instead I am going to do crochet braids........I have been wanting to do that for a very LONG time! I just keep putting it off & doing what I know (which is kinky twists)! But like I said I want to try something new & different! Thank you so much for helping!!! Smile

Love is a lamp, while friendship is the shadow. When the lamp is off,you will find the shadow everywhere. Friend is who can give you strength at last

That's on my list of things to try as well! Would I need a certain type of hair for it? Or could I use the kinky twist hair I normally use?
