I have the Amika Flat Iron and I frickin love it. My hair is 4a yet everyone thinks its the silkiest and softest hair ever. I mean...I bought this flat iron and loved it so much I ordered two more. It is ceramic and does not burn my hair ever! The plates are floating so my hair never gets caught in it causing breakage and the plates clean easily. The heat settings are adjustable and I only have to flat iron it in one swipe even if I DON'T blow dry my hair. Everyone thinks I have a stylist but I do my hair on my own thanks to the Amika. It has never been this shiny, bouncy, and moisturized before with any other common brand I've used.

I'm trying to take a picture with this webcam, hopefully it works.

I had a Pink Chi which really got the job done ( I do hair also so it was great for my clients) but my 14 year old niece stepped on it and broke it, now I have a Cortex Platinum Black Edition. I got for 30 bucks at TJ Maxx and it is just as good! More solid too and pink.

I have curly/kinky ish hair, more curly and kind of fine, but doesn't straighten easily.

Looks like this but pink.

I don't have a really good straightened hair picture. Here's bangs though.

I have a GVP ceramic flat iron that goes up to 420. It's really cute and has a purple/blue unicorn on it with rhinestones in the hair. LOL.

My hair type is 3c-4a

I don't have any pics (sorry) but my hair came out really smooth and straight. I loved it.

I use the Ghds Mark 4. Have done for about 7 years never had any complaints. It's hot so I only need to slowly run the iron through my hair once. I think I might have type 4a hair maybe 3c and even 4b in some sections. For me it's about getting a good blowdry first to reduce the amount of heat my hair needs from the straightener to get good results. Also products - a good heat protectant like aveda or tresemme. Plus something for humidity and wrapping the hair well to preserve your efforts

Another Babyliss user here. Titanium Pro, 1 inch plate. The best flat iron I have ever used. Worth every penny.
