Please add me for Overall Hair Health

My hair as of Nov. 22 


  • Cut off ends
  • Tex-lax (basically did nothing) after a 2 -3 month stretch
  • Majorly struggling to handle new growth (tangles, knots, painful styling)
  • Regimen:
  • Co-wash every other day
  • Daily vitamins
  • Hair growth oil & massage
  • Kinky Curly leave-in

This challenge will definitely help me keep the scissors out of my hair.  I'm going for growth/retention.  Currently 16 months post (no bc'ing) and hope to reach WL by Dec 2012.  My next length check wont be until June...want to see how my low manipulation reggie is working for me (3/4 wig as PS and monthly washes)...i'll take a pic of a patch of hair that i cut the relaxed ends off of and use that to document my growth

I would like to be added to #1 - Growth & Retention category please. I just cut about 5" off my ends on 12/7, which puts me around SL. Here are the starting photos taken 12/7/11:


I am also transitioning to natural and only around 13 weeks post.

here are my ends as of dec 2011. i just relaxed and self trimmed. i did it unevenly lol. next time i will go to a professional



my goal is to have a thick and heavy hemline

That's exactly the regimen I'm starting woop woop! Finished makin ma wig Thursday and sewed it on. After I relax next week, I won't be washing but once a month. I was lucky my 5  month (!!) sew in didn't tear out my hair and edges and it def grew. I'll be less extreme this time around and know that the less manipulation=the healthier and longer my hair will grow. I'm excited for this challenge! 

I'll unsew my wig and post pics next week!!

I would like to join the overall hair health category Big smile

I'm new to posting but I'm really excited about this challenge. Currently, my hair is appoarching neck level. In the beginning of the year, the left side of my hair had severe breakage. I've been trying to nurse that section back to health since I cut my hair to ear length in April. I hope to be appoarching shoulder length by this time next year.
 
I'm not sure how to post my starting picture but once I figure it out, I'll post it right away.
