Doubled My Luck!!

I have been taking Nioxin vitamins for at least 4-5 yrs. due to hair loss from medications. It has always worked incredibly well. So well, in fact, that when I started, I had to give up having my nails done at a salon bc they would have had to be filled every week instead of 10 days to 2 wks!
I decided healthy hair was better than long nails...
Anyway, after all my years of growning my healthy hair out to a beautiful long length at last, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma last October and proceeded to lose all my hair due to chemo. It was completely devisating.
After chemo was over, I talked to my hairdresser of 10 yrs who had gotten me started on Nioxin and she told me to think about doubling them to grow my hair back...I did some research into the ingredients and asked a few doctors, etc,, and then procedded to take two a day to see what happened (grow a bread...a furry tail...what???)
I'm happy to say that I was able to go without a wig in 4 months. I had heard 6 was about right, but I was really happy to be myself again! It has now been almost a year and I have continued with the double dose the whole time!! This past month I have noticed it slowed a little (I usually have to color it every 4 wks max or my roots are really noticeable...before I could stretch it to 5 or 6 wks. on one a day). I think this month I can stretch it to 5....maybe bc your hair grows more in the summer? Idk....I could have my last color date off a little...anyway....I have had NO SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL!!! I have had to wax my eyebrows and lip more frequently, but that's it!! No furry tail...yeti arms....nothing! I figured if it got bad I would stop, but it is now almost Nov 1st....so I am closing in on a year and have had many trims....not that I wanted to cut my hair, but bc of chemo I guess, it hasn't grown back at the same rate yet all over so I have to wait for little areas to catch up with the others before I can really grow it out again or I may look pretty weird...I trust my hairdresser---40 yrs in the bz and she is gorgeous and has never steered me wrong.
My hair is thick, curly (of course--chemo), and does not fall out at all in the shower....I have had long periods of time where clumps and handfulls came out every day...this was before chemo...NOT fun!!
If you surf enough on the web you can find competitive prices. Last spring I found the 90 caplets at about 15 bucks! THAT was such a good deal I bought 5 bottles! Should have gottten more--I just ran out and am back surfing for deals tonight...which led me to this site!
Good luck!! Oh--Biotin helps too--its only about $7 at Walmart and also works great...just not the same incredible way Nioxin does so I take both....Still--healthy as ever and loving not being bald!!
I miss my long hair, but it was a good lesson on vanity and how easily things can be stripped away. Nothing is forever, that's for sure. I'm trying not to be so vain about my hair now, especially knowing that it can be taken away again in an instant...for now I am enjoying my short doo, picked out by my hairdresser--dreaming of longer cute cuts I would never had tried (had I not had to regrow it)--on the way to growing back my long locks.
Good luck with your decisions....never heard one bad thing about these vitamins except the price...keep on surfing!! Pass the good sites along!
Enjoy your health and every healthy day you are alive....never take anything for granted...and love those good hair days that are coming.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
