Chatnoir,
how long did it hold in the back?

It depends on the fit of the cap.  I noticed that the wider napes seem to hold the best, 5.5" - 6".  On a stock Rex with a 6"  nape the hold was tight as heck, it held for a week and I probably could have gone longer.  My usual hold on 5-5" nape is 4-5 days with little lifting.
Have you tried rounding the lace at the nape instead of making a square cut.  This has proved to be a great hold for me without any lifting.  I think this methods works better, for me,  because the rounded lace isn't moving as much with the movement of the neck.

You're right, the rounded cut does work better.  In fact the stock Rex units that I have have rounded napes and hold the best for me.

Hi Gods Child, sorry, just caught your message!

I start out with as clean of an application area as I can get (I use Noxema or apricot scrub, and then follow up with witch hazel).  After preparing my skin, I apply GB in small dots all along my front perimeter with a disposable makeup applicator (the kind with the rounded tip on one end and pointed tip on the other).  I then smooth the GB down, wait a few seconds for it to dry clear, and then rinse and repeat 3x.  On the 4th go round, I let the GB dry for approx 5-7 min, and then apply my unit.

For the nape I use the same procedure, except that I use 3 layers of GB instead of 4 along with blue liner tape.  Sometimes if I'm being lazy, I do my entire perimeter all at once instead of waiting to apply the nape after adhering the front.

Try the GB XL by itself to see how it works for you before you add the PR #1.

Forgot to add that no, I'm not using any scalp protector.

I just bought some yesterday. I haven't used glue in a very long time, probably over a year.
When I did use glue, I used vapon & that gave me about a 3 day hold. But it was a b*tch to get off the lace. So I stopped using it.
I really hope it works because I want to try high ponytails

How do you get this stuff off?

I used the lace release dab on, and the wig came off easily, but the glue is stuck on my head. I dabbed the lace release on my head.nothing happened. I sprayed the orange smelling stuff (adhesive remover) & it's not removing the glue. It's not really doing anything other than sliding down my face (the adhesive remover, not the glue).
So should I be trying something else?
I did use some alcohol, but I feel like i need to use the whole bottle, to remove all the glue.

I only used 2 layers, but it does seem like it's a really good hold. (I even put my hair up in a ponytail minutes after applying)

Thanks, I am going to try it without the skin protector and see if I get a better hold!

I bought the remover. for the wig only not your skin!Shocked

I've used ponds cold cream, plain old baby oil & C22, seabreeze also for removing.
oil sheen also....
I use  only 2 layers also. I do take a tooth pick & apply GB pro to the edge after the layers

oh perma rite#1 is a soft hold glue... it never held for me... I could pull it off with in hours in the winter

vapon is a mess & stringy but it held better than permarite #1
it  hold on to your lace... for life!!
I thought permarite was what they use to apply perm lashes.....

but I saw the davlyn.. bottle....
oh well I use my perma rite #14 or hairdirect white glue on my lashes.....
these glues doesnt get stinky as fast as eyelash glues...
