I usually do twist outs. at first I was disappointed bc it looked the same as my normal twist outs! but I got a lot of compliments and ppl asked what i did different today. i like it somewhat, but i can def. tell this is a once in a few months type of style for me. too much hair manipulation (i also trimmed some ends, not all though). took me two hours. it left my hair super soft, too. my natural curl patter is very tight, defined and obvious springy-spiral (don't know the numbers and whatnot for categorizing it--i just go with it)

wash, condition (20 mins)
plait in loose twists
towel squeeze dry
take a twist down and finger comb, then wide tooth comb from ends to root
blowdry (coolest temp on lowest setting)
use some shea butter on root to ends and tuck with pin to head and continue
