Blackmamba totally feel for you.  It sounds like you have been through alot and I can understand how having to have your hair cut could be so heartbreaking.  Along with the advice that has been given maybe you could try some supplements such a biotin to help with repair and growth.  I've heard some good things about these supplements.   Also so glad to hear that your fiance was encouraging and supportive.  He's a keeper.. Wink

So sorry for your hair loss.  After wearing LF's with glue, I thought my hairline would never grow back. For about 8 months now I have been using Tootsie method and my hair grew back thick and strong.  I take off daily so my scalp can breathe too.  I did nothing special accept wash my hair more and use leave in conditioner.  Also there is this curly pudding I bought that keeps natural hair moisturized and this helped alot.  I no longer use stocking caps either.  I use the bandage that you use when wrapping your leg.  Works like a charm.  I wish you the best. I was so scared.  I could no longer wear my natural hair in a ponytail.  Now I can!
 
I even went to the extent of cutting all the perm out of my hair and it seems natural hair grows faster.
 
My scalp was itching really bad, so I used Head and Shoulders itch formula and the problem is gone.  That glue and tape is just bad for you! I will never put that stuff in my head again.  Not only that but your LF last longer with out all that gook on it.
 
I'm not knocking anyone, because I used to be a lover of the White Glue!  Until it showed me it's true colors! Never again! The Tootsie method is great.  I took that method and created my own which was better for me. Thanks Tootsie! You saved me!
 
I know some will say you have to put it before your hairline. I did just that, but the glue will bleed into your hair if you sweat.  Using alcohol to remove I think helped with the breaking process because it dried out my hair too.  Ugh!
