Hey MsRob. You say your hair is feeling dry. The Aphogee treatment will make your hair feel dry at first but after the moistureizeng conditioner they supply it should feel 'ok. After the A2 step most people do a deep condition with their usual conditioner. How often are you Deep conditioning your hair? You should do it at least once a week if you are having drynes issues. Also are you Moisturizing and Sealing every day? Not trying to bombard you with too much info, just trying to help you find out why you may be having issues with your hair. When my hair was the length of yours in the pics you posted it was the best time, I could Wash-n-go like nobody's business those were the easiest hair days for me.

Just stopping in for a quick update -- still doing the sew on wig thing and taking it down every weekend to dc or poo. On my leave out I've been trying new techniques to get my hair to be smooth (i do 4 flat twists) I've tried.... 1. water+coconut oil+gel = smooth but slightly dry/crunchy 2. water+coconut oil+shea butter = moisturized but frizzy
Maybe I should combine both methods? I've only done these two and I do them consistently to make sure the first results weren't a fluke or whatever...
Oh and just a quick review on this Milky Way in case anyone was thinking about trying it -- don't, it tangles in the back like instantly, curly or straight, I've done both. It also sheds like crazy! Well, if I don't touch it, it's fine (while curly) but because it tangles so badly maybe twice a week I put conditioner in it and detangle with my fingers, I can't use anything else or the tracks will be bald! [ I used a heat pass] When I flat ironed it it shed alot -- everytime I did anything there was hair coming out. But I will admit that it looked really good straight and matched my hair really good. Oh and I'm sure we all knew it wasn't really Indian hair
The hair was Milky Way Indian Hair Fourbulous Jerry Curl -- pics of the box and hair are in my fotki

hi ladies!
happy to see that everyone is doing well and we are hanging in there. :-) we're almost in march. eek!
i am back in some medium size twists. i really like this size. they took me 2.5 hours to put in and i am thinking of keeping them in for about a week or 2. we'll see.
@mrs.rob - good to hear from you. :-) your hair looks like it is progressing nicely!
@wanderlust - i am impressed with the mini braids. you go, girl! i can't do it! i could not imagine the take-down.
@ibenn - try the water, shea butter, gel mix. coconut oil does not always play nicely with others....let us know what happens!

@HR I'm gonna try that this weekend, usually on the weekends since I take the wig off I try new things on my hair to see what works so that once I'm out of ps's I won't be lost as to what works for my hair.
But about the coconut oil -- I've heard LOTS of good and bad about it but I THINK it works for me, I use it on my hair but usually with something else and I use it sporadically so idk if it's good but my hair is still on my head so it's not bad -- yet lol.
Oh and do any of you use eco styler gel? I can't find it in ANY stores around here, do yall order it or something? I've heard so much about it and am itching to try it lol plus this clear ice ampro gel leaves my hands feeling weird and a white film on them (and my hair). And I bought the 6 oz jar and only got 2 uses out of it, once for an attempt at a wash n go that never left the house lol and again to twist my SO's hair (like baby dreds)
And one more thing, I decided to search and destroy on my leave-out last night out of boredom but I was wondering what exactly do yall destroy when you, if you, do it? I did every split I saw and I started doing all the knots but I kept thinking to myself that they were just gonna come back (the ssk's) so I stopped cutting them, unless they were like right on the ends.

iBenn when I do my S&D I cut off split ends and SSK but that may be because I don't have many. Some people just ignore them, and some just get regular trims.

@ibenn, i hear you. coconut oil is really dope b/c of its properties. i use it as a prepoo without fail and my hair is better off for it, i'm sure....but when it is in prods that are not rinsed out, my hair is not a fan...so i tend to avoid prods that have it. it tends to act like extra water on my hair and so it leaves it dry unless i do a super heavy sealing...which defeats the purpose of using an oil. lol but, i know many who love it! oh, and i use eco (the one with the hold of 10 and it is clear)- i like it a lot. i tried ic fantasia last weekend though, and i think i heart that a little better than eco. that gel was great - it left my hair a lot softer than the eco, but both give me great hold - my hair is 4b/4c. and for my search and destroys, i only do splits. i ignore my ssk's, but i do not get enough of them to bother/get annoyed.

hi ladies!
happy sunday! :-)
i am thinking of washing my hair today, but thinking that i won't. maybe i will wait.
the s/o and i went out last night and i wore my fro hawk with a pompadour in the front - my hair is getting longer, ya'll! my frohawk no longer just sticks out. it actually hangs down a lot. it's a different look, but i loved it!
i am going to see what my puff is looking like these days (today). :-)
and i will put my hair back into twists this week. don't know how to wear my hair for my bday tomorrow though. still trying to figure that out!

So I tried the water+shea+gel last night and woke up this morning with damp hair so I'm not sure how it would've turned out if it had dried fully -- but I will repeat the process and return with results....I'm also in the mood for pics so I'll post how my hair looks today =)
