^That too. My hair prefers raw honey over glycerine as it's humectant of choice. I usually add raw honey and EVCO into my DT mix and my hair feels baby soft afterwards. (Pro Tip: slightly warm the honey so it doesn't get all sticky and gunky in your hair.) I swear, as soon as my hair sees anything w/ glycerine in it, it automatically gets dry and breaks off like no tomorrow.

I want to try this honey thing. What is DT? Did you mean DC, as in deep conditioner?

I keeps it super simple when it comes to dryness lol

Clarify your hair
Deep Condition (You can use heat if you want), then rinse it out
2 strand twists on wet/damp hair sealing with an oil such as EVOO
Tie it up and leave it alone over night
By the morning your hair should feel very softSmile

I literally only mix honey and aloe vera juice and an oil of choice.

My hair loves dc/prepooing with honey.  I use honey in henna/cassia mixes too.

Last night I clarified with butts bees grapefruit and sugar beet shampoo. I then conditioned with Suave humectress. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do the honey DT but I did DC with the proclaim Argan oil overnight. Today I did a homemade steam treatment, rinsed the conditioner out, and did an oil rinse. Right now I'm waiting for my hair to dry but so far it seems to be no difference. I know my quest for moisturized hair may take time, but I'm so impatient and I don't see a positive ending in sight.

I guess one good thing that did come out of this is that I did chop. My heart was in my stomach but I did it lol!

For the ladies that suggested the honey...thanks you! My hair is done a 150 ( not 180 because it still needs a little work lol)! My hair is feeling much softer. I appreciate all of your help!
