Hi,

I wouldn't mind dyeing my hair brown (loving the colour 4 atm) tends to be the colour of my lace fronts. It could also be a good way to track progress when the roots come through. Does anyone do this?

Thanks

I think it's better to just take pictures every couple months and compare. Dyeing can be damaging if your goal is to actually grow your hair.
No relaxer since 8/2008 and loving it♥
only 10" left to grow.

If you want to do that, I suggest a rinse. It's not damaging to you hair like a regular dye would be.

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. http://www.heavenlyhair4u.com/on-sale-stock-items.html

I've been wanting a few highlights and was thinking of this same thing the other day.
I don't think it's a good idea to dye your hair JUST so you can track growth but if done correctly and your aftercare is on point I don't see an issue with dyeing your hair.

I did this months ago. It works for me now I have like 5 inches of black new growth and the 2 inches of honey brown ends.

I also agree a rinse is better and because I'm natural moisture is key.

The one thing I learned is that my hair grows rather quickly. But I'm not good at taking care of my ends so I'm gonna do it again and focus on healthy ends.
