I was trying to make a solid soap using just basil oil, but we're not
allowed to use NaOH or KOH. The saponification number of basil oil is
4.00 to 10.00. Can you suggest alternative bases? Including sources is
appreciated. Thanks! GHR1000

whats up with basil oil and being prego...? 
also i am into ayurvedic hair care. there is a powder called Tulsi(Holy Basil). from what i know its great for dandruff and what not. you have given me something to research  chanxxxx! |
Although basil oil usually stimulates, in excess it can have a
stupefying effect and should not be used during pregnancy or on children
under 16 years.
Since it can irritate a sensitive skin, it must be used with care on
people with sensitive skins. It also has emmenagogue properties, so it
