I did a little research and found that basil oil promotes hair growth. Basil oil also strengthens and awakens hair follicles. I was thinking of making some. I wanted to know if anyone has tried basil oil for themselves? If so, how long did you use it? Did it work? And a other comments you may have about basil oil.

It has strong odor.  Some people like it.  Do not use if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

also i am into ayurvedic hair care. there is a powder called Tulsi(Holy Basil). from what i know its great for dandruff and what not. you have given me something to researchThumbs Up chanxxxx!

Riquette Hofstein in her book "Grow Hair Fast" (which is a great book by the way, found it in my library) she suggests basil oil for hair growth she also suggests:

-Rosemary oil
-Lavender oil
-Castor oil
-Sage
-Nettle
-Horsetail
-Chamomile

I'm gonna mix some Basil, Rosemary, Lavender, and Castor oil in with my MTG oil when I get it in the mail.

save some oil on the side and use it to cook some chicken and pasta. that would be good. did it work well on your hair?

That sounds yummy to me, I wouldn't mind smelling like Italian food while growing hair, has anyone seen results with this?  I'm trying to figure out what to use to start my hair-growing regiment.
