I would like to go from a 3c/4a texture like this

to a 3a/3b

How long do i need to leave in the mild relaxer?  Should I go for about 7-8 minutes?

I'm pretty sure you can't get 3c/4a curls can't turn into 3a/3b curls with just a texlax. I think lol.

Have you tried youtube to look at rollersetting on natural hair?

Hopefully texlax ladies will chime in and help. GL.

A texturizer is just gonna make you hair look like a more hanging version of it's self, not change your curl size...

So my curl size wont change, but it will be more manageable? that's realy what I'm looking for. I'm tired of having to wet my head everytime I want to comb my hair. and not being able to comb my hair without having to detangle.  "good hair" my assAngry

What is this 'combing through non wet natural hair' you speak of Cortez? Stern Smile

lol I believe you can still have your curls and for them to be more manageable if you do it right. I think.

I need the texlaxed ladies to get here ans give you the info you need!LOL

If you have a hard time with your natural hair , you are gonna have a probable going to have a hard time with texlaxed as it still is textured, and then you are going to have more to worry about, regarding protein, moisture and such...

When I was texlaxed it behaved the same as my nappy naps, only difference was I didn't know how to take care of it...

The only thing it will do is decrease bulkiness...

So it sounds like you should come up with a better detangling technique,

You don't have to wet your hair to detangle it,

I definitely dont and it's been the best thing i've ever done for my hair. I finger comb while dry before washing, and during the week I try to do styles that wont make my hair retangle so the next detangling session is a breeze, and doesn't require wet hair...

I have to comb all the way through my hair or else it will tangle and mat up.  doing it while its wet under the shower is the best way for me, 2nd best is soaking it with conditioner/detangler, but I cant do it dry

I love your hair it's beautiful, thick and super coily. Coming from a 3A/3C person I envy your thickness. At one point in time I tried a 'curl remover' to get my hair to be more 3A instead of 3C it worked but I missed the versatility of my hair I couldn't do my afro puff any more so I let it grow out. So if you a bent on changing curl pattern that worked for me it's call One 'n' Only curl remover, ironically it's supposed to be by the same folks who created the jherri curl lol.  Any who, here's the link. http://www.sallybeauty.com/curl-remover/ONEONL14,default,pd.html?cm_vc=SEARCH
