I was digging through some old DVD's today and stumbled upon Jillian Micheals 30 day shred.. I've never actually got through the full 30 days, i don't even think i ever made it through a week! lol, but anywho i was wondering if any one wanted to join me on a 30 DAY CHALLENGE???  I started today, but any one can join me! the more the merrier! I will be using this post as a daily log also!  so let the weight loss begin!!!
POST YOUR:
~ Starting weight
~goal ( how much you want to weigh @ the end of the 30 days)
~ how many days a wk u plan to work out
~ Any special diet ( weight watchers, Atkin's, etc.)

Hi ebonynicole! I also started level 1 yesterday, and would love to join you. Here's my stats/plan:
Start Date: 2/13/2012
Beginning weight: 181.6 (as of 2/12/12)
30 day goal: 170
Regimen: Take Fruta Planta everyday (starting 2/13/2012); do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred 6 days a week (starting 2/13/2012); walk 2 miles every evening, 6-7 days a week. I'm also taking CLA Tonalin and Borage oil to tone and using the ab lounge 5-10 mins a day.
 
My Measurements:
 
2/12/2012:
Bust:  43 in
R Arm:  13 in
L Arm:  13 in
Waist (belly button):  40 in
Hips:  45 in
R Thigh:  27.5 in
L Thigh:  27.5 in
I forgot to measure my waist at my upper abdomen so I will start measuring that next week.

Yay I have some one to join me!! you sound really dedicated!!
 
 I also forgot to add that i take a multi vitamin, Biotin, and  3 Garlic cloves every 2days ( to help w/ my weight loss), and cinnamin tab's..  i also do a 10 min ab work outat least 4X/wk, and russian twists 3 sets of 30  7 days a wk, and i love dancing so i dance around my room like im crazy! lol until i get tired 20 Minutes at the least.. In terms of my diet No Juice or Soda, just water in between meals and green tea  with meals.

      today seemed harder than yesterdays work out in the beginning, but i pushed myself and felt better towards the end. My body's in PAIN ! but  no pain  no gain!

Dang girl, with all that you'll lose the weight in no time! I finished Day 2 yay! Like you, I also started this workout before. My sister and I did it last year for like a week until we took a break and never started again because she hurt her leg. Funny thing is she didn't get injured from the workout, it was from tripping over her son's toy LOL

I'm trying to figure out what I can do next week to step it up a notch for even better results, but for now the plan I have should be okay. The workout is tough, I'm still doing girl pushups but it was a bit easier to do them today. All the cardio is killing me though. Last year the cardio didn't seem so bad but this time I had to stop a few times for 3-4 seconds because my legs start shaking and lose feeling. It’s really weird because up until a few weeks ago I was going for walks 4-6 days a week for a couple months and I had no problem with my legs, but last night they were so weak I wanted to turn right back towards home after I started, but I didn’t. Hopefully they'll get stronger. I have NO lower body strength. Or upper body strength. Or core strength. I'm pretty much just a weakling all around lol LOL

One of the hardest things for me has been drinking water. I do not like drinking water. I’m trying to drink at least 90 oz each day, which is amazing considering before this week I usually went 3 or 4 days at a time without any water. As far as my diet, the pills keep me from being hungry but I still get cravings like CRAZY so I just snack on some fruit or carrots or something when that happens. Then I just eat whatever but a pretty small amount because I feel full quickly. I’m not exactly eating heathier Embarrassed, just less. But I’m also not eating a bunch of fatty stuff either just to be clear lol.

Glad you were able to stick with it. You can do it! Hope we get some other’s to join so we can cheer them on too.

I have a question, has anyone heard of stories of people losing weight on it? People alway report on the reviews that  it tones you but they see no lost on the scale. I know toning is good but I need the pounds off first! I have the dvd just never have pushed through 30 days sadly lol.

Hi SooSweet. Yes most reviews I’ve seen have people say that they lost few to no pounds, but the ones with before/after pictures make you think, “Wow, is that really only __ lbs?! It looks like more!” People who are already slim seem really pleased with how much flatter their stomach and smaller their arms and thighs get from the 30DS, so if that’s you then you’ll get toned and not lose much or any weight. However, toning isn’t just for people who are already pretty slim, it makes a huge difference in those who are looking to lose a significant amount of weight. Plus it seems like the more you weigh when starting this, the more chance you have of losing actual pounds. So if that sounds like you, you have a better chance of losing weight AND toning. If you haven’t already seen some of these results I’ll post them for you. Of course their results were probably increased by other things: healthy diet, other exercises, etc.
